Confession

My family have been complaining that I don’t spend time with them because I’m ungrateful and I don’t like them.

The second part of that is true.

I’m not ungrateful, quite contrary, without them I’d never be where I am right now.

On the other hand, they’ve all been nothing but condescending bitches and have ostracized me because I’m getting an education and making good for myself, claiming that “I’m trying to be too good for them”

On top of that, we can’t have a conversation without fighting over basic beliefs.

So yes, they’re right, I don’t like them and I can’t wait to get the fuck out of here.

this is a very abbreviated version of the actual situation. I realize that it sounds very childish and shallow, but the issue runs much deeper and is actually a real problem. I’m not a spoiled selfish brat…believe me
